SELANGOR, 16 AUGUST – Yayasan MRCB today donated several essential items worth RM20,000 to the Unit Hemodialysis (UHD) of Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) Kontinjen Selangor to improve the facilities of the centre and create a comfortable environment for patients who undergo dialysis treatment.

The contribution was used to purchase essential items, including a cordless vacuum cleaner, air conditioners, 12 sets of curtains, air purifiers, and a 2-door pharmaceutical refrigerator.

UHD was established in 2003 and provides free dialysis services to PDRM members, especially those who cannot afford dialysis treatment at other private centres. The centre is well-taken care of by PDRM members who have received training from the National Kidney Foundation specifically to operate the dialysis machines.

The Chairperson of Yayasan MRCB, Datin Jasmine Abdullah Heng and Trustee, Datuk Sham Shamrat Sen Gupta handed over the items at the Unit Hemodialysis today to YDH CP Dato’ Arjunaidi bin Mohamed, Ketua Polis Selangor.

“This dialysis centre plays a big role in treating patients who are unable to pay for treatment at other hospitals or centres. We hope that our contribution will help the centre, and as a result its patients can continue to receive treatment in a better environment,” said Datin Jasmine Abdullah Heng, the Chairperson of Yayasan MRCB.
