Experience

YBhg Tan Sri Saw Choo Boon holds a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) degree from the University of Malaya. He first joined Shell in 1970 and has served in various capacities in Manufacturing, Supply, Trading and Planning in Malaysia, Singapore and Netherlands. He was then responsible for managing companies and businesses in multiple regions, including Malaysia, Asia Pacific, and global. He was appointed as the Chairman of Shell Malaysia and retired in 2010 after 40 years of service.

YBhg Tan Sri Saw has served on many boards including RHB Bank Bhd., RHB Investment Bank Bhd., RHB Insurance Bhd., Digi.Com Bhd., Heineken Malaysia Bhd. and Shell Refining Co. Bhd. He was also the former President of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) and was active in many Public-Private task forces and committees, such as Pemuda, National Export Council, National Productivity Council and Special Economics Committee.

Currently, he is the Chairman of Sentral REIT (formerly known as MRCB-Quill REIT) while serving on the Board of Wah Seong Corp Bhd. and the Socio Economic Research Centre of Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Malaysia (ACCCIM).

Experience

Datuk Shamrat is the founder and currently Managing Director of a G7, Bumiputera civil construction, project management and consulting company founded in 2010. He also holds various directorships in other private listed entities in the fields of consulting, IT, rail infra and F&B, among others.

He is currently an independent board member of two public listed companies listed with KLSE and member of the board of a few government related agencies.

Datuk Shamrat is also heavily involved in various social programmes. Datuk Shamrat is a Paul Harris Fellow (Multiple PHF) and was also conferred the title of Major Donor Level 2, to the Rotary Foundation, the First Major Patron Level 2 in Malaysia of Yayasan Kelab Rotary Foundation Malaysia in 2016.

Over the years, Datuk Shamrat had raked in various accolades, such as the Pingat Pangkuan Mahkota Wilayah (PPW) in 2010 and Pingat Johan Mahkota Wilayah (JMW) in 2016 from the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the Darjah Pangkuan Seri Melaka (DPSM), which carries the title “Datuk”, conferred during the 78th birthday of the Yang di-Pertuan Negeri (Governor of) Malacca, Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob.

Datin Jasmine Abdullah Heng

Experience

Datin Jasmine is the Vice Chairman of Dorsett Hospitality International Malaysia. Her current role is overseeing all hotels in Malaysia under Dorsett Hospitality International. She has over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including Malaysia Airlines and senior roles within Sheraton Hotels and Resorts. During her tenure with Sheraton Hotels and Resorts, she was honoured as the first Malaysian woman to hold the position of General Manager of an international 5-star hotel chain. She was also twice bestowed the ‘Best Hotel Manager and General Manager’ Award by Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards (HAPA) consecutively during her tenure there. Datin Jasmine is currently the Chairman of the Malaysian Association of Hotels (Selangor Chapter) and a Board Member of Malaysian Association of Hotel Owners. She is also one of the Directors of the Selangor Tourism Council and an Advisor to KDU University and Taylor’s University.

On Social Responsibilities, Datin Jasmine is currently the Chairperson of Yayasan MRCB, Board Member of Kiwanis Club of Bukit Kiara – an NGO involved in helping down syndrome kids and many other charitable events to bring cheers to the less fortunate. The Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Coalition Women Organisation (KLSCWO) recognised her passion for Social Responsibilities, which awarded her with Change Maker (Social & Charity) – Women of Excellence 2021 award.

Jasmi holds a cumulative 24 years of experience and has worked in various fields of construction and engineering as a Quantity Surveyor. He started his professional career with numerous well-known engineering companies such as Muhibbah Engineering (M) Berhad (1992 -2002), Kumpulan Lebar Daun Berhad (2002-2003), Hartasuma Sdn Bhd (2003-2005), Gapurna Sdn Bhd (2005-2016) and is currently with Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB). He is known notably for his numerous involvement in CSR programmes whilst being with Gapurna Sdn Bhd.

Melissa is actively involved in the Corporate Social Responsibility events and has worked as an event organiser and assisting various foundations since her graduation. She started her career in Expogrand Sdn Bhd, an event company that specialises in organising various exhibition and events. She joined Yayasan MRCB as a Manager in 2018, bringing her 10 years of experience in conducting innumerable charity events and programmes to help the less fortunate community.

En. Jamaludin Zakaria

Experience

Jamaludin has more than 26 years of experience with extensive exposure in investment banking and corporate finance, having been attached to domestic and international investment banks throughout his 20-year banking career.

Jamaludin has been involved in a broad spectrum of corporate and financial transactions, including infrastructure project finance advisory and fund raising, cross border mergers and acquisitions, Initial Public Offerings in the domestic market and internationally through primary and secondary offerings, quasi equity primary and secondary offerings, debt and equity structured derivatives and debt liability management.

The portfolio of clients that Jamaludin has worked with include listed conglomerates, government agencies and the government linked/investee companies.
